When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see – a flawless smile that will rival that of any celebrity or a mouth full of cracked, chipped, decayed, and discolored teeth? If your answer is the latter, it might be time to consider a full-mouth reconstruction plan. Using any combination of restorative, cosmetic, and orthodontic dentistry services, we can completely transform your flawed teeth into flawless smiles.
What is Full-Mouth Reconstruction?
A full-mouth reconstruction is not just one treatment. They’re customized plans to address issues that affect the entire smile. Full-mouth reconstruction may include any number of services including:
- Dental crowns
- Fixed bridges
- Implant supported tooth replacement
- Partial and full dentures
- Tooth-colored fillings
- Gum recontouring
- Soft tissue grafts
- Orthodontics with Invisalign
- Porcelain veneers and other cosmetic services
A Case Study
It’s often easier to understand full-mouth reconstruction, if you a specific case sample. Consider an older patient who had suffered from gum disease. This patient had receding gums and cracked, discolored teeth. In order to renew the appearance of this man’s smile, we completed the following four step full-mouth reconstruction plan:
- Consultation – The man sat down one on one with his skilled dentist who evaluated the condition of his smile. Then, the dentist answered his questions and helped him better understand how he could transform his current dental condition into a flawless smile.
- Treatment Planning – the first step was to address oral health issues. The dentist recommended soft tissue grafting to address the receding gum line and dental sensitivity. Decayed areas of the teeth were removed and restored with fillings and crowns. The front teeth were covered with flawless porcelain veneers to create a flawless smile.
- Procedures – once he’d determined what treatments were necessary, the patient scheduled the process over the course of several months, beginning with those services that were most necessary to relieve pain and improve dental function.
- Checkup & Maintenance – following the completion of his full-mouth reconstruction plan, the man continued to visit the dentist every six months for checkups and care for his smile at-home as recommended.
